Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Diploma program:

  • Basic qualification is Matric with science or equivalent qualification with at least fifty percent (50%) marks of total obtainable marks (specifically Biology as one compulsory subject) except Category B Pharmacy.
  • 10% weightage will be given to F.Sc premedical or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks of total obtainable marks.

To be eligible for admission to the Degree program:

  • Basic qualification is HSSC/F.Sc (premedical) or equivalent qualification with at least fifty percent (50%) marks of total obtainable marks, for  DPT and Pharm D at least sixty percent (60%) marks are needed.
  • 10% weightage will be given to a degree holder in relevant fields or having two-years relevant experience in healthcare organizations. F.Sc premedical or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks of total obtainable marks, for  DPT and Pharm D at least sixty percent (60%) marks are needed.

Course Description: 

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program provides students with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering basic patient care. Undergraduate Programs

Course Description:

The BS Nursing program offers comprehensive education and training for professional nursing practice. Through theoretical coursework and clinical experiences, students learn anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and patient care techniques. Emphasizing critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration, graduates are prepared for licensure exams and careers as registered nurses in diverse healthcare settings. Course Description:

The Post-Registered Nurse (Post-RN) program is designed for nurses who have already completed their initial nursing education and obtained licensure as registered nurses (RNs). This program offers advanced coursework and clinical experiences to further develop nurses’ knowledge and skills in specialized areas of nursing practice. Post-RN programs often focus on advanced nursing roles, such as nurse practitioner, nurse educator, or nurse leader, and may include topics such as advanced pharmacology, pathophysiology, healthcare policy, and evidence-based practice. Graduates of Post-RN programs are equipped to take on advanced nursing roles, providing specialized care, leadership, and education within healthcare settings.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for BSN (Generic)

In line with Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PN&MC), candidates may apply for the four-year BScN Program if their age is within 18 years to 35 years on January 1, 2024. Marital status is not a consideration.

Other requisites are:

  • Educational Qualification: HSSC/F.Sc. (Pre-medical) or Equivalent with a minimum of 50%
  • Candidates should have completed the Secondary School Certificate or equivalent in the Science group with biology, chemistry and physics as compulsory subjects.

Candidates with equivalent qualifications (in the British, American, Canadian or any other system of Education in Pakistan and overseas) must submit equivalence certificates from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). The equivalence must state that the qualification is equivalent to an overall aggregate of at least 50% HSSC pre-medical qualification in Pakistan. Applicants must note that applications will not be processed for final selection without required equivalence certificates.

Candidates who have completed two years in college, or have an undergraduate or graduate degree are also required to have achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent in their HSSC in the pre-medical group.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-RN (02 Years)

The two-year full-time Post-RN BScN program offers an opportunity to diploma holder nurses to earn bachelor (BScN) degree. It will enable them to get leadership positions in healthcare organizations and institutions where they are or intending to work in future.

To be eligible to apply, candidates should have met the following requirements and criteria:

  • Have obtained the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) (any group) or equivalent
  • Have obtained the three-year RN Diploma
  • Hold current/valid registration/license in their country of residence
  • Have achieved at least a second division in the Provincial Nursing Board examination. Overseas applicants must submit evidence of successfully passing their national nursing registration / licensure examination
  • Completed RM Diploma (any post-basic specialty for male in lieu of midwifery)
  • All Registered Nurses holding an RN/RM must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Institution where RN/RM has been completed. The NOC must certify that the institution and/or affiliated hospital has no objection if the candidate pursues higher education at the Aga Khan University for the academic session 2023.

In line with Higher Education Commission (HEC) requirements, candidates should have completed the mandatory courses of English, Pakistan Studies and Islamic Studies/Ethics and Religion at BA/BSc level.

Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Programs in Nursing 

  1. Lady Health Visitors (LHV) (02 years Diploma Program)  
    Qualification: 
    Applicant must meet one of the following academic level
    a. FSc (Pre-Medical) with 45% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
    b. Matric (Science) with 45 % marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects) ·        
    Age Limit: 14-35 years
  2. Community Midwife (CMW) (18 months Diploma Program)

Qualification: Matric (either Art or Science) with 40% marks ·         

Age Limit: 14-40 years 

3. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (02 years Diploma Program)  

  • Qualification: Applicant must meet one of the following academic level 
  • FSc (Pre-Medical) with 45% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects) 
  • Matric (Science) with 45 % marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects) 
  • Matric (Arts) with 50% marks, FA with 50% Marks ·         

Age Limit: 14-35 year

Admission Application Process

1) Each candidate shall make an application for admission in response to an advertisement by the Institute on a prescribed form along with the documents 

specified in the form.

2) The admission to the program shall be made on the basis of cumulative merit to be determined from the previous academic record and interview.

3) Selection / merit will be made on the basis of percentage of Matric marks 90% and F.Sc 10% weightage (if applicable).

Note: - Additional twenty (20) marks will be added to the marks obtained in SSC, for Hafiz Quran (The criteria for Hafiz Quran are Hifz Test as well as a certificate from registered Deeni Madrassa).

 All the applicants shall ensure the following documents enclosed with application form to be submitted to the concerned institute.
